to treat pain you can use paracetamol or ibuprofen and you you should avoid any actifity that increase pain on the shoulder also you can use cold compresses in the shoulder and you should has physiotheraby done to prevent disease progression and in severe cases cortisisone can be injected in the joint if no response to the treatment then surgery can be done

you should be assessed by the physician and has x ray done shoulder to assess the joint and ultrasound on the joint can be done to help in diagnosing the problem also MRI can be done to help in diagnosis
