treatment of urinary tract infection
- treatment with antibiotics such as nitrofurentine 100 mg 3 times daily for at least 14 days
- urinary tract cleansing agents such as rowtenix 2 times daily
- painkillers such as diclofenac 75 mg 3 times daily
- hospital admission and IV antibiotics
signs and symptoms
- painful urination
- change urine color
- foul smelling urine
- pus discharge with urine
- burning sensation in the penis after urination
diagniosis
- urinalysis to check for the wbc count in the urine ( more than 10 wbc count is considered infection ) or blood in the urine
- abdominal ultrasound to identefy the source of the infection in the urinary tract ( bladder or kidneyes or prostate )
- cbc to check for the count of the wbc in the blood and if there is an elevation above 11000 that means that there is a blood infection
- culture of the urine to check for the best antibiotic that can be used in your situation
