- picking your nose

- blowing the nose very hard

- very dry nose
- colds
- allergies
- high blood pressure
- anemia

- bleeding disorders
- Nasal sprays, such as those used to treat allergies, if used frequently

- avoid picking your nose 
 - blow your nose  very gently
 - regularly apply  Vaseline to the inside of your nostrils
- wear a head guard during activities in which your nose or head could get injured
- stay away from 
 when the bleeding start : lean forward, squeeze the nose toward the face, breath from the mouth, hold the position for 5-8 minutes,
- stop smoking
- be on a heathy diet
- Do not strain or bend down to lift anything heavy
