What is mifegest?

It is a combination of:

• Mifepristone (200mg)
• Misoprostol (200mcg)

Uses of mifegest:

• pregnancy termination
• legal abortion,
• menses induction
• extrauterine pregnancy
• blood loss
• cervical ripening before surgical termination of pregnancy
• inducing normal labour.

Side effects of mifegest:

• nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• stomach cramp
• uterine contractions
• heavy menstrual periods
