What are the causes of uterus infection ? and how to treat it?

1.pelvic inflamatory disease treated by ceftriaoxone injection and levoflaxcin 750 for 7 days and it may need dilatation and curettage if it's so severe 
2.viral infection in which came with ulcers treated by acyclover and gancyclovir local and rally 
3.the appearing of warts due to papilloma virus need cryotherapy or surgical excision 
4.for fungal infection which came with whitish secretion need metronidazole cream or supproteries 

What are the investigations to do ?

1.pap smear 
2.secretion histopathology 
3.local examination
