I'm worried as my period is delayed for 16days

It depends on the cause, and the first thing you have to do is to rule out pregnancy before taking any medication.

Cause of period delay:

It may be due to:

• Pregnancy which associated with headache, vertigo, abdominal pain, loss of appetite
• Stress
• Infection
• Uterine fibroid
• Ovarian cyst
• Hormonal imbalance...etc

Diagnosis of the cause of period delay

You have to visit a gynacologist  for clinical examination and investigations as:

• Pregnancy test
• Abdomen and pelvis US
• LH, FSH, TSH, Free T4, Prolactin...etc.
