My wife has an open sore that is oozing pus, we have been to general surgeons and dermatologists and she is still in a lot of pain. She has used a antis epic ointment Fusiderm, which provided some relief at first but is no longer effective, what should we try next?

Yes a number of doctors, she has had a MRI, sonar and mammogram all clear, as well as a bacterial swab of the sore which they claim was also clear

Treatment of infected ulcer:
The best treatment depends on the culture results of antibiotic sensitivity, and till the appearance of results you can use the following treatment:
- Levofloxacin 750 mg once daily for two weeks
- Daily sterile dressing
Symptoms of infected ulcer:
- Pain
- Redness
- Swelling
- Fever
- Bad odor
- Pus discharge
Diagnosis of infected ulcer:
You have to visit a surgeon for clinical examination and investigations as:- CBC
- ESR
- CRP
- Pus culture
- X-ray
What i advise you?
