Dear doctor, my 17 year old got cold and cough on Feb 3rd. On 13 th Feb i took him to hospital for high fever . Blood test done. Mild infection was there. Started abtibiotic. Fever reduced in 1 day. But in the blood test platelet was only 69000. Done all test Dengue, Malaria etc. Negative. After 4 days again checked the platelet count it was 90000. Again after 2 weeks it was 83000. Again after 6 weeks, it became 70000. Did liver function test. Liver enzymes were elevated. But albumin, globulin and all normal. All scanning including MRI and MRCP done . They r telling it is Liver cirrhosis.But liver is functioning normal. Spleen is enlarged. Found 2 moderate varices .ANA, ferritin, ceruloplasmin, Anti LKM negative. Waiting for alpha1 antitrypsin and anti smooth muscle. He is very normal and active. No symptoms. What could be the reason?
