Treatment of typhoid:

You can use the following treatment:
  • Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days
  • Cataflam 50 mg twice daily for 5 days.

Symptoms of typhoid:

  • Fever
  • Headache

  • Muscle pain
  • Sweating
  • Dry cough
  • Loss of appetite and weight loss
  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Rash
  • Extremely swollen abdomen

Diagnosis of typhoid:

It depends on the history and clinical examination of your doctor and investigations as:
  • CBC to detect infection
  • Chest x-ray to rule out respiratory infection
  • Blood culture

I think you need to do colonscope to rule out other possible causes as inflammatory bowel disease.
  • And you can take flagyl 500 mg three times daily
  • Omeprazole 20 mg twice daily
  • Rocephin 1 gm IM injection twice daily for 5 days.
