my doctor had a strep throat with swollen tonsils...

my doctor had a strep throat with swollen tonsils she was suggested suprax she has taken 4 doses of it still she has great difficulty eating food so should i switch it to amoxocillin she usually takes that for throat infections and its very effective or should i continue with suprax ?
