Regarding your question
managment of delayed period:

• you have to rule out pregnancy if you are married by doing BHCG in blood.
• if you are not married or if you r test is negative then you can take duphaton 20 mg every 12 hours for 5 days.
• then you have to wait onther 5 days as it will occur.

causes of delayed period:

• pregnancy
• stress
• hypothyroidism
• high prolactin level 
• PCOS

Diagnosis of delayed period:

• BHCG 
• ultrasound for pelvis
• TSH 
• FSH-LH 
• prolactin level
