Regarding your question
managment of delayed period :

• first you have to rule out pregnancy by doing pregnancy test 
• if you are pregnant then this is the cause for delayed mesnes 
• if you are not pregnant you have towait for two to three days 
• if still your menses is delyaed then you have to take duphaton 20 mg one tablet every 12 hour for 5 days .
• it will occur in the next 5 days .

causes of delayed period :

• pregnancy which is the most important cause 
• stress and anxiety 
• hypothyroidism 
• high prolactin level 
• PCOS 

some investigations are needed :

• pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy 
• TSH  to rule out hypothyroidism 
• prolactin level to rule out high prolactin level 
• ultrasound for the pelvis
