Causes of wet cough:

There are many possible causes of wet cough as:

• Chest infection
• Bronchitis
• GERD
• Asthma...etc

Diagnosis of the cause of wet cough:

You have to visit a pulmonologist for clinical examination and investigations as:

• CBC
• Chest x-ray...etc

Treatment of wet cough:

It depends on the cause, and till the right diagnosis you can use the following treatment:

• Expectorant as tussibal
• Paracetamol 500 mg twice daily
• Augmentin 500 mg three times daily for 5 days.
• And you have to drink good amount of hot drinks.
