reactions after tattoo is expected , but if you are allergic to the tattoo dye , its may have severe side effects and skin reaciton , which look like you didnt , so your sitation is normal 
What to seek medical attention after tattoo ?
1. if your symptoms lasts longer than expected ( we will mention the side effects later )
2. if you develops any symptoms or unexpected symptoms 
What are tattoo side effects :
1. redness
2. pain
3. allergic reaction
4. symptoms of infection if done with contemination needle ( dirty tattoo places )
- usually symptoms only lasts for some days up to a 10 day , with a possiblty to be reactive later ( in some months or years ) , but its not supposed to lasts longer in constant range ( like for 3-4 weeks ) , and its supposed to get better by time 
General advices :
1. if you havent continue doing your tattoo , its better to change your mind , or find a cleaer place 
2. consulting a dermatology doctor is a plus
