P wave is the first deflection in ECG and indicates right and left atrial depolarization. Normal p wave is no more than 2.5 mm tall and less than 120ms in width.

Causes of inverted p waves

Usually, p waves are not inverted. There are two possibilities of inverted p waves which are

• Inverted leads
• Situs invertus or your heart is in right position and not left one
