hi drs my baby boy is 7 weeks now the last couple of days he is sleeping alot that he is only awake may be not more than 2 hours aday is that normal?

Normal infant sleep:
In this age, your child nades the importance of sleep is as the importance of feeding.Your child need enough hours of sleep per day.
Time of sleep varies from baby to baby, but in general baby wakes only for feeding and may stay a wake for few hours per day.
You do not have to worry about your baby as it is normal to sleep like this.
When you have to visit your doctor?
You have to worry and visit your doctor when one the following occurs:- Change in sleep pattern
- Poor feeding
- Continous crying
- Weight changes rapidly
- Poor development
- Baby not active when waking.
