Hi, i have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and currently taking eltorxine 100mg. I did a blood test yesterday and my TSH IS HIGH (5.69). I would like to know if i am supposed to increase or decrease my dosage.

1.if there is increase in TSH reading then you must increase your eltorxine to 150 mg and repeat your dose after 10 days to be sure to return to normal reading 
2.if your free T3 and T4 are normal then this is subclinical hypothyrodism only increase your dose up to 125 mg daily 

What investigation to do?

1.TSH  T3 T4 (total and free) blood level 
2.protein level in your blood
3.antibodies fot thyroid as antiperoxidase
4.thyroid and neck ultrasound
