Yesterday evening I suddenly got very bad pain on...
Yesterday evening I suddenly got very bad pain on my wrist.. just below the thumb. It hurts when moving the wrist inward or any movement of the thumb. When I press on it it hurts even more
Doctor's Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Just happened yesterday evening.. no doctors yet... I have "fastum gel" which I applied today morning
Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Nothing serious.. but I also have some persistent "but mild" annoying pain on my left ankle which comes and goes

Causes of thumb pain?
- Play a lot of video games
- Use or hold a cell phone for long periods of time
- Type a lot, use a mouse, or a computer often
- Have injured their wrist
- Have rheumatoid arthritis or other inflammatory arthritis
Treatment of thumb pain?
- Ice the area to ease inflammation
- Naproxen twice per day
- Stop doing anything that makes it worse. Avoid repeated motions and pinching moves with your fingers and thumb.
- Strengthening and stretching exercises
- Activity modification
- Splinting
- Deep tissue massage

it is in the wrist that radiate to the thumb and the causes and treatment which i mentioned were related to De Quervain syndrome

That's the case exactly... but it just happened out of no where.. one minute it was ok and suddenly as if something hit me... does it happen like that?Is Naproxen enough?Thanks
