Causes of body odor?
- Excessive emotional sweating
- Infrequent showering, lack of deodorant, and unclean shoes and clothing can all affect the potency of your body odour.
- Your feet, groin and armpits are home to the largest concentration of apocrine glands. These areas also have very little ventilation, which creates an ideal environment for bacteria to grow and decompose your sweat.
- Some foods are difficult for your body to digest and they also feed the bacteria that causes body odour.
- People of different ethnic backgrounds also tend to sweat different amounts
How can you control the problem?
- take a warm bath or shower every day
- wash your armpits thoroughl using an antibacterial soap
- use a deodorant or an antiperspirant
- regularly shave your armpits
- wear natural fibres, such as wool, silk or cotton
- wear clean clothes
- limit the amount of spicy foods you eat
