Dear Customer
Evaluating the answer from the top of the page after reading it helps us to improve the quality of answers and ensure that the best experts are available to help you .
important notice :
we are in no position to stop or prescribe any medication to your daughter , and her doctor is the mainly person in change to stop or start or change medication depending on her case and condition
- we also dont have many information about patient current and previous medical history , so we will only mention and explain common idea and solutions about your doughter condition
is BPD usually treated with those medications ?
- no , the main therapy or treatment that is used in BPD patient is psychotherapy ( not with medications )  such as :
1. Dialectical behavior therapy
2. Mentalization-based therapy
3. Systems training for emotional predictability and problem-solving
- medications are only used to treat the related symptoms such as depression or mood changes or addiction
are those medication alot to her condition ?
- as we mentioned earlier , we are in no postion to decide what medication should be used or stopped , but medically speaking , those medications are mainly for depression , and non of them are exactly to treat BPD , but your daughter may need this much medications if her condition is severe , or she poses a threat to her self or to others
last advice :
there is no harm if you reconsult another psychiatry doctor just as a second opinion about your daughter situation
