How to sooth nasal nostrils?
- try putting a few drops of saline into each nostril
- You can use an infant nasal suction aspirator to help clear the mucus from his little nose, or saltwater nasal drops or spray. If your baby’s blocked nose doesn’t clear and he still has problems breathing after suctioning, visit your doctor.
Call your doctor if your child develops any of the following symptoms:
- fever
- rash
- a stuffy nose together with swelling of the forehead, eyes, side of the nose or cheek.
- a stuffy nose that lasts longer than two weeks
- difficulty breathing or breathing quickly
- significant trouble feeding or not interested in feeding
- your baby is extremely fussy or seems to be in pain
