My mother aged 73 years has a condition of uterine prolapse. So mouth of the Uterus is coming out of the vagina and her belly button is pushing out, so the doctor suggested for removal of uterus and ovary as ovary also has a cyst through open surgery.

She is diabetic and sugar level is not at all controlled. in 2016 she had a minor stroke, Is it safe for her to have a surgery within a week time as doctors are assuring us that sugar level can be controlled with insulin

She had stroke three times and the first one little major was in 2010 and two minor in 2013 and 2016

- If there is cyst in the ovary your doctor can remove the cyst or the ovary at same time.
- The most important point at your mum case is her glucose level, if her blood glucose level is not controlled, this will increase risk of complications during and after surgery like surgical site inflammation and weak incision closure.
