Normal BP for adult male:

Normal blood pressure in adult is less that 120/80

How do we diagnose hypertension?

Hypertension is defined as blood pressure of 140/90 or more in two or more separated readings.
Between 120/80 and 140/90 the patient is suspected to have HTN in the future.

Symptoms of HTN:

Usually, patient does not complain fron any symptoms,
Some may complain from:

• Headache
• Dyspnea
• General fatigue
• Neck pain

Causes of HTN:

Most cases has no known cause which is known as primary HTN.
The rest is called secondary HTN, which may be due to:

• Renal disease
• Vascular problem
• Medications
• Cardiac disease
• DM...etc
