the fisrt thing is to reduce fever to avoid febrile convulsion by cold compressors and trufen 100mg syrup 6 cc evry 8 hours or diclofen 25 supp every 12 hours plus antibiotic according the physical exam by a pediatrician
What is the definition of fever?

What causes fever in children?
There are a lot of reasons for fever:
1) infection, including: (otitis media, tonsillitis), and other types of infections.
2) taking medication to treat a disease; which causes side effects, such as: high temperature.
3) Viral infection, or infection with bacteria of any kind.
4) Infection with severe influenza and for a long period of time.
What are the symptoms asociated with fever?
Symptoms vary according to the infection but there are general symptoms such as:
1) Fatigue
2) Chills
3) febrile convulsions
What tests do you need to do?
1) Complete blood test
2) Examination of mucous membranes
3) culture for bacteria
4) Clinical examination
5) Chest X-ray
6) urine analysis
7) A sample of the spinal fluid may be required to analyze spinal cord fluid to exclude meningitis
