What is the treatment of upper abdominal pain ?

The treatment of upper abdominal pain is specific for each possible underlying cause
but the main causes can be treated after physical examination by surgeon like the following
 Pantovir 40mg twice daily for 14 days
Metronidazole 500mg three times daily 14 days
Clarithromycin 500mg two times daily
note that you may need to keep using Pantover for longer time
you also may need surgical intervention if gallbladder or pancreas were the sources of pain
you also should consider doing ECG and CXR and refarding arm pain an x ray with vit supplement and anti-inflammatory drug like naproxen trial is adviced

Thera are many risk factors for upper abdominal pain like  :

Excessive usage of analgesia like non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like aspirin or diclofen
Usage of aspirin
Smoking
Excessive alcohol drinking

vomiting of blood in severe untreated cases

dark or brown stool (melena) due to bleeding

Diagnosis

taking full medical history of the patient , then do the following test
.CBC test to determine the amount of hemoglobin
H.pylori stool antigen test
Amylase and Lipase levels
Abd ultrasound
