hi I would like to know how to reduce my bad cholestrol fast

I am had just got a test done in which i discovered I had high bad cholesterol level

Regarding your question
What is the treatment off high cholesterol level ?
the treatment focuses mainly on lifestyle modification and reduction of fatty food along with daily exercise
but in case of persistently high cholesterol levels you should start taking simvastatin 20mg once daily
What is Simvastatin 20mg ?
it is an HMG COA reductase inhibitor which eliminates cholesterol from body
What should you do prior to Simvastatin treatment ?
you should do liver function test (AST,ALT) and monitor them every year , and if their values increased more than 3 times the baseline values you should stop simvastatin
What are the side effects of simvastatin?
Muscular pain
Arthralgia
pharyngitis
Headache
Dizziness
nausea
Stomach ache
High liver enzymes
Constipation
What are the normal values of blood fat?
Total cholesterol:
Must not exceed 200
HDL is a useful fat :
Preferably more than 40 mg / dL or more than 1.0 mmol / L for men,
More than 50 mg / dL or more than 1.3 mmol / L for women
LDL, a harmful fat :
Less than 100 mg / dL
Triglycerides
Less than 150 mg / dL, or less than 1.70 mmol / L
