Period delay:
Period should not be delayed from its usual oe expected date, and when there is a delay then you have to look for the cause as:- Pregnancy
- Ovarian cyst
- Uterine fibroids
- Infection
- Hormonal problem
- Nutritional problem...etc
Diagnosis of the cause of period delay:
You have to do pregnancy test first, and if it is negative you can repeat the question again after one week.If it is still negative, you have to visit a gynacologist for clinical examination and investigations as:
- Abdominal US
- LH
- FSH
- Prolactin
- TSH
- Free T4...etc

The first test you have to do at absent menses is pregnancy test even there are no symptoms
