How to treat common cold ?
- Pain relievers like naproxen twice daily
- Decongestant nasal sprays: Pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine decrease nasal edema to improve air intake
- Antibiotics should not be used for the treatment of cold symptoms in children or adults.
- Antihistamine monotherapy (sedating and nonsedating) does not improve cold symptoms in adults.
- But Decongestants, antihistamine/decongestant combinations, and intranasal ipratropium (Atrovent) may improve cold symptoms in adults.
- Anticholinergics, Dextromethorphan, Guaifenesin. Ipratropium (Atrovent) is the only orally inhaled anticholinergic recommended for cough caused by a common cold

- Kalmcold 200 mg twice daily for 5 days

- Vitamin C
