Treatment of breast infection:
You can use the following treatment:- Augmentin 625 mg three times daily for two weeks
- Ibuprofen 600 mg twice daily
- And sometimes, you may need surgical intervention when there is an abscess.
Symptoms of breast infection:
- Fever
- Pain
- Redness
- Swelling
- Pus discharge
Diagnosis of breast infection:
It depends on the clinical examination of breast surgeon and investigations as:- CBC
- ESR
- CRP
- Ultrasound or mammogram
