what is DM ?

diabetes is an common endocrinologic disease ,associated with elevated blood glucose . resulted from insuffcient insulin secretion from the pancreas or increase the tissues resistance to insulin

What are the symtpoms of DM ?

How to diagnose DM ?

1. fasting blood glucose above 126 mg/dl in at least 2 readings within week
2. hga1c above 7
3. random blood glucose above 200

What is the treatment of DM ?

1. lifestyle modification is the corner stone in the mangement of diabetes
lifestyle modifications like

• increase the physical activity for at least one hour per  a day
• decrease suger intake
• avoiding fatty meals
• lose weight
• avoid smoking

 if these methods fial to control blood glucose below 140 , then oral hypoglycemic drugs are added like ,metformin 500mg
In your case , the blood glucose is controlled and you should follow up and continue the lifestyle modifications , if they fails to contol bood glucose , the oral hypoglycemic agents can be added
