First, you must know that there is no cure of herpes infection but manegement is used to treat symptoms and avoid outbreak of infection,
Treatment may include:

• Acyclovir cream
• Famciclovir

Can you have sex?

It is better to avoid sex with a person who is known to have herpes, but if you are sexually active it is better to:

• Use condom during sex
• Advise your partner to have daily anti viral medication
• Avoid sex when there is symptoms.

Genital herpes symptoms:

• Blisters around the genital area
• itching
• Tingling
• Ulceration
• lymph node swelling
• Fever
• Headache
• General pain and muscle weakness
