HellI am adoctor ophthalmologist, cardiac with mitral stenosis, with histiry of TIA 20years ago (i am 57 years old now)I am using concor (Bisoprolol) 5mg daily for AFWarfarin 2.5.g daily. I noticed recently that my BP is high nust this week 145/90_95I am asking whther to start using combination of Bisoprolol with hydrochlodizide or what to doYour advice well be appreciatedMany thanksDr ghassan

hello Dorcor , as you know , we cant adjest your dose or adding or removing or change your medication without clear history and clear test results , but we can give you some advices and we hope that you can follow it

what are the medications that could be used for your medical condition :


1, heparin or warferin 
2. anti platlet drugs such as clopidogrel
3. ACE inhibitors such as Bisoprolol
4. duritics such as hydrochlodizide
5. beta blockers 

can Bisoprolol be compined with hydrochlodizide to treat presistant hypertension :


both medication can be combined together to treat hypertension , but ACE inhibitor (Bisoprolol ) should be changed to ARB if you are having any kidney diseases or kidney injury  

other general advices to help your with your medical condition :


1. try to change out your life style such as food and exercises and regular sleep pattern
2. stick to your doctor medication 
3. avoid smoking or stress 
4. do a regular routine check in internal medicine clinic
