The normal blood sugar is like the following

• Fasting blood glucose level below than 95
• Random blood glucose level below than 180
• HA1C below than 6.5

Diagnosis of Diabetes mellitus

There are many steps or points to diagnose DM. One of the following is required

• Fasting blood glucose level above 96 at two tests at two different days
• Random blood glucose level above 200 at two tests within two different days
• One blood glucose level above 200 with symptoms of DM like polyurea, polydipsea and weight loss
• HA1C above 6.5
