My husband has regular itching once every 3 days.....

3. reconsult his doctor about the medication that he take on daily basis and what are the possible side effects and if there any alternatives 
4. for sensitive reaction skin symptoms , doctors usually prescribe anti-histmine or striods medication such as any topical medication that contain cortisone like dexamethasone 
5. if allergic reactions went to show more aggrissive symptoms , patient may need IV injections of cortisone 

what are the possible causes :

1. may be infections symptoms 
2. may be a allergic reaction of antibiotics he is taking ( ambiosis antibiotics ) 
3. may be autoimmune disease which is unrelated to his medical condition 

needed medical examnations :

1. physical examnation by dermatology doctor 
2. blood test
3. bacteria culture from skin or allergy reaction area
