5. in early stages of syphilis and according to patient condition ,  asingle dose of penicilln injection could be enough to treat your medical condition 
6. if its not treated yet or you have penicillin alleargy , doctors may prexcribe antibiotics orally or IV such as doxcycyline and ceftraxone and clindamycine or acommpany more than 1 antibiotic at the time 

what is VDRL test :

VDRL Venereal Disease Research Laboratory test : is a test used for detection and disgonosis of syphilis infection , and positive result means the antibodys of syphilis has been released in your blood stream , and its usually false negative during the early stages of syphilis
