Risks factors for fungal infection ?

• diabetes

• weakened immune system
• previous intake of antibiotic
• underactive thyroid gland, or hypothyroidism
• inflammatory disorders

How is invasive candidiasis treated?

• Antifungal treatment is given iv in hospital
• I advice you to be folllowed up in the hospital

1. Day 1: 100 mg IV infusion, then
2. Day 2 and thereafter: 50 mg/day IV
3. Minimum 14 day treatment, at least 7 days following resolution of symptoms

• in candidial auris

1. Day 1: 200 mg IV
2. Day 2 and thereafter: 100 mg IV per day
