Treatment of big foot toe pain

It is common problem due to many factors and causes. Evaluation and treatment is by the following

• Commonest cause of like problem is due to gout or increased uric acid level thus you can do uric acid know and after subsiding your pain
• Take analgesics like ibuprofen 400 mg three times daily and use topical analgesic cream on your pain area.
• Take Coxib 200 mg once daily for ten days to relieve your pain
• If your uric acid level is normal and gout is excluded you can do foot x ray.
• Avoid using narrow shoes and avoid prolonged standing

Causes of toe pain

The commonest causes are the following

• Prolonged standing
• Wearing narrow shoes
• Gout and high uric acid levels
• foot joints osteoarthritis
