What is the treatment of thyroid cyst or mass
- Give thyroxine to reduce the thyroid stimulating hormone produced by the pituitary gland and re-evaluate after six months
- If the tumor affects important life functions such as swallowing, breathing and speech, it is surgically removed
- In the case of malignancy, the assessment and knowledge of the stage of the tumor if it is early or late, if it is early treatment is complete removal of the gland, and compensation for the thyroxine lost by external Thyroxin taken in the form of medicine
- Exposing the gland to radioactive iodine
- in case of cosmotic goals it is also removed by surgical resection
