What is the treatment of Finger and hand pain

• Rest your joint
• Apply cold compressors for 15 minutes every 2-3 hours to relieve the pain and swelling or redness
• Take Analgesic such as Ibuprofen : Trufen 400 three times daily
• You need to go to the nearest medical center in the following situations 

1. High fever
2. Severe pain and limitation of movement
3. Swelling 
4. Redness 
5. Discharge from the skin like Pus
6. Extension of infection

• In case of Bacterial infection : your doctor will prescribe antibiotics according to the result

Investigation for Finger and hand pain

• Clinical assessment for signs of infection , which include Swelling , Redness , Pain and fever
• Complete blood count 
• ESR 
• X-ray of the hand 
• Rheumatoid factor
