1. If Boils are small: treat at home by applying warm compresses to relieve pain and promote natural drainage.
2. For larger Boils:
* Incision and drainage: surgically performed by the doctor.
* Antibiotics: topical life fucidine or oral like Bactrim,clindamycin,doxycycline.
What are the symptoms of boils?
How diagnosis is made?
1. Clinical examination.
2. Sendig pus sample to the lab.

What are the symptoms of boils?
- A painful, red bump that starts out about the size of a pea.
- Red, swollen skin around the bump.
- An increase in the size of the bump over a few days as it fills with pus (can sometimes reach the size of a baseball).
- Development of a yellow-white tip that eventually ruptures and allows the pus to drain out.
How diagnosis is made?
1. Clinical examination.2. Sendig pus sample to the lab.
When you should see the Dermatologist?
- Occurs on your face.
- Worsens rapidly or is extremely painful.
- Causes a fever.
- Is more than 2 inches (5 centimeters) across.
- Hasn't healed in two weeks.
- Recurs.
