what is the treatment of stroke
- this is a very serious situation the patient should be admitted and treated in the hospital and medical supervision in the ICU
- aspirin
- recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rtPA)
- surgery in case of failure of medical management to remove the clot
- when discharge the patient would be on oral anticoagulant for the rest of his life
- in case of hemorrhagic stroke the treatment initited by supportive care and observing blood pressure
- and hemotoma removal after a surgery (craniotomy)
- rehabilitation after moving over the serious period
what are the causes of stroke
- bed riddin
- atherosclerosis
- heart disease as atrial fibrillation
- tumor
- diabetis and hypertension
what are the associated symptoms
- unable to talk clearly
- weakness on one side of the body
- lose of consiousness(coma)
- disorientation
- seizure
what are the investigations and lab used to diagnose the cause
- clinical exam
- CBC
- Livr Function Test
- Pt Ptt INR
- CT scan is very important
- and the gold standard method is brain arteriography
