Regarding your question
What is a pregnancy test?
A pregnancy test attempts to determine whether or not a woman is pregnant. Indicative markers are found in blood and urine, and pregnancy tests require sampling one of these substances. And these tests work by checking your urine for a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). HCG is released when a fertilized egg attaches to the lining of your uterus when the pregnancy occur. The pregnancy test is usually more than 99% accurate
How to read a pregnancy test ?
1.If the pregnancy test shows no lines: This should be repeated after 48-72 hours
2.If the pregnancy test shows 1 line then there is no pregnancy
3.If the pregnancy test shows 2 lines then there is definite pregnancy
What do we recommend ?
Missing your period can be something very common and the pregnancy test sometimes have a lesser accuracy especially when the indicative markers aren't detected .So there is still a chance of you being pregnant but you should check with your gynecologist and hopefully everything will be fine.

Regarding your question
What are the causes of Causes of a Negative Pregnancy Test with No Period?
1. Low hormone levels: If you're trying to get pregnant, there's good news: You may still be pregnant. Sometimes, levels of the pregnancy hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) early in pregnancy aren’t yet high enough for a home pregnancy test to detect.
2. Ectopic pregnancy: It’s rare, but sometimes an ectopic pregnancy can show up as negative on a pregnancy test.
3. Lifestyle factors: Several outside factors , Stress, for example, can delay your period. Malnutrition can affect it, too. Your cycle can fluctuate if you drink too much caffeine or don’t eat enough food.
4. Medical conditions:such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or thyroid problems.
5. Medications: Birth control may cause irregularities in your cycle. Other types of medications may lead to a missed period, as well. For example, blood pressure drugs or allergy medications can throw off your cycle.
What tests we advise you to undertake?
1. Blood pregnancy test.
2. Ultrasound testing for the uterus and pelvis.
3. Hormonal blood test for sex hormones and thyroid hormone.
