What is the treatment of Hemorrhoids ?

1. HYDROCORTISONE topical. It is used to decrease swelling, itching, and pain that is caused by minor skin irritations or by hemorrhoids. use for 2 weeks only to avoid thining of the skin
2. Lidocaine topical : it is an anesthetic to decrease pain
3. Phenylephrine Hemorrhoidal Gel This medication is used to temporarily relieve swelling, burning, pain and itching

What are the causes of Hemorrhoids ?

1. Straining during bowel movements.
2. Sitting for long periods of time on the toilet
3. Low-fiber diet.
4. Anal intercourse
5. Chronic diarrhea or constipation

How to prevent Hemorrhoids?

1. Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Doing so softens the stool and increases its bulk, which will help you avoid the straining that can cause hemorrhoids
