Regarding painful swallowing

Causes of painful swallowing ?

common cold,pharyngitis,tonsilitis, and influenza
 smoking, alcohol abuse, or persistent heartburn. It can also be hereditary.
Candida infection.
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Ulcers in your mouth, throat, or esophagus
. The long-term use of painkillers drugs, such as ibuprofen.

Diagnosis

medical history
physical examination
stomach and esophageal endoscopy

Treatment

treatment depends on the underlying cause of painful swallowing
upper respiratory tract infections can be treated by antibiotics,antihistamines,and hot drinks
esophageal and stomach ulcers and GERD can be treated by an PPI like esomeprazole
esophageal candidiasis can be treated by antifungal medications such as fluconazole
Surgery if medications don’t help your condition.
