Good evening Dr, i have an ovarian cyst of 4.5cm.which medicine can i use apart from being operated.

Treatment of ovarian cyst
It is common condition that affect high percentage of people due to many factors and causes .Evaluation and treatment of like condition is by the following
- At first, ovarian cyst can be diagnosed incidentally during US of uterus and ovaries without causing any symptoms.
- If your cyst does not cause any symptoms, its size is small what i mean less than 5 cm and like these cysts do not need treatment pharmacologically or surgically thus do not worry
- Advanced studies conclude that small ovarian cyst which does not cause symptoms also does not need further US follow up
- Based on what i mentioned above, i see your condition is stable and does not need drugs or surgical treatment
Symptoms of ovarian cyst

- Asymptomatic
- Flank and pelvic pain
- Pain during sexual intercourse

Thank you Dr Mohammad, my worry is am 32yrs still single but planning to get married soon and give birth. Wont this ovarian cyst affect my conceiving? And yes i used to feel pain during sexual intercourse. Now have spent 3 & half yrs with out sex. I need your advice dr thank you

Usually, does not cause any problems about conception thus do not worry

Am not feeling any pain, though am worried about the size, because the gynecologist dr told me its big, it needs surgery. And i don't want surgery

to relieve pain you can take analgesics like ibuprofen 400 mg three times daily. It can be subsided without drugs thus you can follow up your cyst after 6 weeks

Meaning i should start taking Ibuprofen every day for 6 weeks

No, just when you feel severe pain

take paracetamol 500 mg three times per day
doing kegal exercise
