My son is 18 years old and has mild Crohn’s disease since age 13.he is currently taking pentasa 3 g daily.is it safe for him to take live typhoid vaccine before traveling.he also takes probiotics and curcumin capsules daily

Yes we r consulting a gastroenterologist .he takes pentasa 3 g , probiotics and curcumin

No but the medication used especially cortisone may do that but that does not prevent patient from traveling or do day life activity.

Our dear customer according to recent studies it showed that live typhoid vaccination is well tolerated in-patient with IBD as crohns with moderate activity. The symptomatic and endoscopic improvement were not dramatic but no side effect were detected.
Dose IBD make your immune system weaker?
No but the medication used especially cortisone may do that but that does not prevent patient from traveling or do day life activity.
