Dear Customer
Welcome, and thank you for trusting us
Regarding your question

What is HPV?

It is  human papillomavirus (HPV), one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases (STD), the family of this virus contains about 150 species, many of which cause warts, and there are specific types that cause cancer

HPV transmission path:

Sexual intercourse, more than 40 types transmitted by vagina or anal sex
Touching the skin from the infected area to the proper skin

Signs and symptoms of HPV infection

genital warts: They may appear as small lumps resembling the extrusion and affect the vaginal, anus, vagina, and vaginal areas in different size and shape.
Caused by the type of HPV 6, 11
Cancer: Different types of HPV such as (16, 18, 31, 45) are cancerous and carry high risks of cancers such as vaginal, cervical and anal.

Diagnosis of HPV

Vinegar (acetic acid) Test the vinegar solution applied to the genital areas infected with the human papilloma virus turns into white
PAP Smear test: A sample is collected from the cervix and sent to the laboratory
DNA tests: A sample is taken to determine the type of papillomavirus through DNA examination and determine whether it is carcinogenic or not. This is the most specific test

HPV treatment

There is currently no specific treatment for HPV but the body's immune system naturally removes HPV within two years in 90% Of cases but some cases may develop cancer in the cervix and therefore must be a swab of the cervix continuously
Avoid sexual contact with people with the virus
Condom use
Vaccines: Gardasil, Cervarix, These vaccines are used to protect against certain types of HPV (16,18), but not all of them.
If the number of warts is small , use Aldara ointment day after day for a month.
If the number is many (more than 3) and large size more than 1 cm, you should go to a dermatologist to remove the warts with cold nitrogen which is the best way to remove genital warts
