Welcome! How can I help with your medical question? Hello Doctor, Thank you for this chance that patients may be assisted online. I’ve had osteotomy and bunion removal 8 days ago. From Day 0 to Day 6, I should say that I got very minimal pain and discomfort. Maybe pain score of 1 only. On the night of Day 6, I had follow-up with the Orthopedic clinic and had my cast changed. I saw the site and it was healing well. Soon as I came home after the cast change, I felt pain and stiffness in the site which I haven’t felt for the first 6 days post-operative. This happens only when my foot is not elevated, though. Like when I’m walking going to the washroom, it’s like 5 minutes of hell pain. It has been two days now after the cast change and it hasn’t felt any better. I’m taking the same pain reliever as I’ve been taking since discharge from the hospital admission. I’m afraid something must have gone wrong with the healing inside? If not, what could be the reason Doctor? I’m starting to get paranoid. Hope you may help me with this query Doctor. Thanks a lot. Joyce Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking? After the cast change, I haven’t been back to the doctor yet. The hospital doesn’t have outptient clinics on weekends. I’m taking Antibiotics and Pain Reliever for this. Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know? Nothing else. I have mentioned about the details of the surgery I had.
