I am pregnant and i have epilepsy problem.and i am using lamnent 100mg.
Is it good for pregnancy?
Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Yes i have seen doctor but she said this is not good for pregnancy

Lamnent100mg is considered category C drug in pregnancy whic means that it can be used with caution if benefits outweigh risks. Animal studies show risk and human studies not available or neither animal nor human studies done.
So only your neurologist can decide either that you should continue treatment or not , as in some cases controlling epilepsy is more importnant than taking the risk of using this drug during pregnancy because being at risk of having an epileptic fit during pregnancy is very dangerous
it is the scientific name Lamotrigine whcih is an antiepileptic of phenyltriazine class
Inhibits release of excitatory amino acid glutamate and inhibits voltage-sensitive sodium channel, which stabilizes neuronal membranes
Dizziness
double vision
Headache
abnormal gait
Blurred vision
Rhinitis
Somnolence
