Treatment of abdominal pain:

1- visit the nearest medical center to have the physical examination done for you which is important to exclude surgical  abdomen and acute emergencies and do the tests that will be mentioned when the problem persists
2- pain killers like paracetamol (stay away from non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and aspirin as they may aggravate the condition in some cases like ulcers)
 3- antispasmodics like buscopan
4- drink enough amount of water ( average of 8 cups daily)
5- healthy lifestyle and healthy food
6- take Simethicone drug if you feel gas bubbles in your stomach or intestines
7- take a muscle relaxant like Myocalm if the pain increases with moving as this pain may be due to a muscular spasm
8- taking Zantac (ranitidine) is useful in the treatment of ulcers and reflux disease as it decreases acid production by stomach
9- take an antibiotic if the pain was proven to be caused by a urinary tract infection like Ciprofloxacin 500, two tabs daily

Causes of right sided abdominal pain:

1- muscle spasm
2- gallstones
3- stomach ulcer
4- pancreatitis
5- kidney stones
6- flatulence
7- mid-cycle changes in females
8- appendicitis
9- intestinal ulcer
10- inflammatory bowel disease
11- irritable bowel syndrome
12- urinary tract inection
13- liver conditions

Investigations:

1- blood test CBC
2- kidney function test
3- liver function test
4- urine analysis
5- ultrasound scan
6- CT scan

visit a gastroenterologist if the problem persists to have a physical examination done for you and to exclude serious causes, as the right treatment depends on specifying the cause accurately
